Hospital Honeymoon

(N.Z. Press Association —Copyright?

LONDON, August 3.

Two hours after leaving her wedding reception, a teen-age bride was back in hospital today—back in the ward she had left four hours earlier to get married, the “Daily Sketch” reported.

Kathleen Robinson, aged 17, was granted six hours’ leave of absence by her doctors at High Carley Hospital, near Barrow, Lancashire, so she could wed a bank clerk, Ken Smith.

Now they will be allowed to meet once a day during hospital visiting hours, but only until Friday, for then Mr Smith flies to Canada—alone.

The couple had planned to fly out together, but Kathleen went into hospital for an operation last Thursday and she will not be joining her husband in Nova Scotia until the end of the month.

Mr Smith is flying out to start a new job with the Bank of Canada.
