CHINESE SUPPORT

Guerrillas In S. Vietnam

(N Z P A -Reuter—Copyright) PEKING, July 21.

The Chinese Prime Minister (Mr Chou En-Lai) yesterday pledged China’s support for Communist guerrilla forces in South Vietnam before a 10,000-strong rally in Parliament Buildings. The rally marked the climax of a “week of common struggle in support of the Vietnamese people’s opposition to United States imperialist aggression” which has coincided with the tenth anniversary of the signing of the Geneva agreements on Indo-China. A Government statement last night obliquely threatening to send troops to IndoChina if Americans extended their “war of aggression" there took pride of place in one newspaper today under the banner headline: “China won’t sit idly by while the United States extends the war of aggression in Vietnam and Indo-China.”
