Concert For Choir Funds
The women's auxiliary of the Christchurch Harmonic Society recently held a concert when more than 200 members and friends were welcomed by the president (Mrs D E. Wilson). Proceeds were for the society’s choir fund. The programme included items by the following:—Mrs L. McDonald (violin solos) accompanied by Mrs J. Gibson: Mesdames K. Scralton and R. Williams (vocal duet:) accompanied by Mrs J. P. StubI berfield: Mesdames Stubberfield and D. Owen (piano duets): Messrs V. Reid and D. Manhire (vocal duets) accompanied by Mrs W. E Olds: drama group of the Christchurch North Townswomen's Guild (humorous play); singing circle of the Christchurch North Townswomen's Guild (vocal excerpts in costume from “Rio Rita.") I
