Mr J. A. Kirkness, the Registrar of Auckland University. and Mrs Kirkness, will leave on Thursday to spend six months overseas. Mr Kirkness will study university trends in Britain, the United States and Canada. — (P.A.)
Dr. P. S. Cook has tendered his resignation to the [North Canterbury Hospital ■ Board as visiting psychiatrist, as from December 18. He has accepted a position in Australia, in Adelaide it is thought Dr. Cook is at present overseas on paid study leave, and is expected back in Christchurch early in December.
