Investment In N.Z.

(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 19. The encouragement of continued overseas investment in New Zealand, subject to certain conditions, is advocated by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, according to a supplied statement.

A report presented by the chamber’s economics and taxation committee at a meeting of the chamber council said these conditions included, in particular, encouragement of local participation in management and equity capital, avoidance of control by overseas investors of important sectors of the New Zealand economy, and avoidance of an excessive drain on foreign exchange for remitt .nee of profits or repatriation of capital.
