ATTACK ON NORTH
‘People’s Call’ In Vietnam

The Premier of South Vietnam, General Khanh, said yesterday his Government could not remain indifferent to popular demands for an attack on Communist North Vietnam.
Speaking to about 40,000 people gathered in Saigon for “national shame day” ceremonies—the tenth anniversary of the signing of the Geneva accords which ended the Indo-China war which partitioned Vietnam, he said: “We have heard the people’s call for war to be carried to the north.
“This is not only an urgent appeal of the million refugees from the north nourishing the dream of liberating their native land. “This is not only an ardent wish of the thousands of families in the south who having families who went to the north, long for the day when they can be reunited with their loved ones.”
