Sunday Rugby Gate £900

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 19. The Wellington Rugby representatives beat New Zealand Marist, 14-6, in a game brimming with vitality at Athletic Park today. The game was vastly entertaining for a Sunday afternoon crowd of about 10,000 and it formed a solid foundation for the injured players’’ fund. The gateway bucket collection totalled about £9OO.

The match was also an imfiortant preparation for Welington’s Ranfurly Shield challenge against Taranaki on August 8.
