Decrease In Stoppages

(N.Z. Press Association)

WELLINGTON, July 17.

The total number of industrial stoppages showed a marked decrease last year, says the annual report of the Labour Department.

Last year, there were 63, compared with 85 in the preceding year. The decrease in the number of man-days lost (97,511 to 38,726) was even sharper, including a substantial decrease in the meat-freezing industry.
