Canterbury.—Moderate variable winds, north or north-westerlies predominating at first; cloudy to overcast, with occasional rain; moderate temperatures.

Buller and Westland.—Moderate north-east winds at first; overcast, with periods of rain; winds changing to moderate to fresh south-westerlies this afternoon and becoming cool and showery.
