Obituary MR T.T. GARLAND

AUCKLAND, July 7. Mr Thomas T. Garland, “Uncle Tom,” a familiar radio personality to thousands of listeners for 31 years, died in Auckland last night He was 87.
He retired in August 1962, after 31 years conducting the “Friendly Road” radio services, which he pioneered before the Government took over broadcasting.
