Disarmament Proposals
(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, July 7. The United Nations Parliamentary Group in London and the U.N. Association of Britain have jointly proposed world armament reduction in three stages to be completed within six years.
This proposal is the first of nine put by the two bodies to the Commonwealth prime ministers.
The plan calls for abandoning military bases overseas. It asks all governments not to exceed present military expenditure during disarmament negotiations.
