BACON COMPETITION WINNERS.—Winners of trophies at the Canterbury-West Coast bacon competition held at the Belfast freezing works of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company yesterday. On the left is Mr E. A. Bennett, of Ohoka, who tied with Mrs R. S. Bassett, of Oxford (middle), for the Pig Marketing Association rose bowl. One of the most successful competitors, Mrs Bassett also won the Peerless Weaner Grower Cup. The other competitor is Mr B. Miller, of Motukarara. Miller Brothers won Green’s challenge cup.
