ITALIAN PARTIES
Search For Coalition
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) ROME, July 7. Signor Aldo Moro, Italy’s Prime Minister-Designate, today begins negotiations with leaders of four parties for a new Centre-Left coalition Government.
Besides his own ChristianDemocrats, there are the Socialist, Social Democratic and Republican parties.
The directorate of his own party yesterday pledged its support to him in the negotiations to form a new Government along the lines of the one which resigned 11 days ago and which he had led since December.
The coalition partners disagreed over how to tackle Italy’s economic difficulties and go ahead with economic reforms.
Signor Moro said the new Government must be backed by the whole-hearted determination of all the partners so that it would have the necessary authority to ' resist the strong attacks of the Right and Left-wing Opposition.
