Fiji Favours Decimal
fN.Z. Press Association) SUVA, July 7. Fiji would benefit from switching to decimal currency, the Fiji Decimal Currency Committee has concluded. An official statement released last night said: “No final conclusion has been reached by the committee as to the value of the monetary unit or the date on which decimal currency should be introduced.
“It can be stated, however, that in the opinion ■of the committee it will not be practicable to decimalise before January 1, 1967.”
