RATEPAYERS MEET
New Members Wanted
Ways and means of recruiting new members was one of the subjects discussed at a recent meeting of the Spreydon Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association. An urgent need for new members who could “air their complaints” on roads, lights and other subjects was expressed.
The association also discussed the proposed extensions to their hall. When completed, it was said, the hall would give better service, to all who wished to hire it. A letter was received from the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr G. Manning) accepting the association’s offer to make him patron. The president (Mrs C. Armstrong) presided.
