WELLINGTON, July 3.

The time was ripe for the Government to take over the task of providing homes for pensioners, for old people, and for the working population generally, said Sir Basil Arthur (Opp., Timaru) during the Budget debate in Parliament today. “No matter what is being said on the other side, Government members will be very conscious of housing difficulties in their own electorates,” he said.
