Alternative At

Greymouth (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 30. A commercial radio station will be established at Greymouth to provide an alternative breakfast session for the district It will begin transmission on August 17. Announcing this today, the chairman of the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation (Dr F. J. Llewellyn) said the new station, the call sign of which will be 3ZA, will operate from the existing studio facilities at Greymouth and will use the new 2 kw. transmitter recently installed at Kumara, on 750 kilocycles.
