Good Gains On Firm, Active Share Market
Good gains were made in firm, active trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday with New Zealand issues strong, overseas rises ahead of falls and key stocks in both sections buoyant.
Insurances were firm with New Zealand coming into line at 27s 3d and South British at 545. New Zealand Paper Mills climbed Is 6d to 37s after the announcement of proposed substantial changes in the company.
Other worth-while gains were made by Consol. Brick 1961, Greers, Motor Traders, Fanners’ Fertiliser, Seabrook Fowlds and Whitcombe and Tombs.
