Rose Bushes Stolen
(N.Z. Press Association)
LEVIN, June 26. Rose bushes worth £6OO have been stolen from Avenue Nurseries, Levin. Some of the 1600 plants taken are of varieties developed at the nursery and are only available there. Mr P. C. Gardner, the owner of the nursery, said the roses had been lifted late in May and done up in bundles which were then heeled in in lots in a paddock near the main highway. Some bundles were taken from each lot.
