League Games Transferred
In order to keep the oval at the Show Grounds in firstclass condition .for the North v. South match next Saturday, the Papanuf-Hornby and Addington-Sydenham Rugby League senior games today have been transferred to Addington Park. This move has been made by the Canterbury Rugby League on the recommendation of the grounds caretaker. No change has been made to the times of the matches. Addington will meet Sydenham at 1 p.m. and Papanui will play Hornby at 2.30 p.m..
Professor W. H. Mathews, of the University of British Columbia, will leave Christchurch for home today. Professor Mathews has been working in New Zealand with the Geological Survey and University of Canterbury, partly under a senior fellowship of the Canadian National Research Council and partly through a grant from his own university.
