No Shadow Cast On Market By Budget

No shadow was cast on share trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday by the prospects of last evening’s Budget. New Zealand stocks, with leaders firm, continued to give the market a good undertone, while overseas issues held exactly in balance.

Second-rank New Zealand issues showed worth-while advances by some shares in first business for several weeks and others coining into line with companion stocks.

Rex Consolidated moved up 3s 6d to 32s 6d, New Zealand Newspapers old moved up further to 71s, while the B shares gained 3s to 70s fid. National Insurance and New Zealand Insurance B improved.
