Rest Homes For Old People
Sir,—The closing words in your excellent sub-leader today, that “the most comfortable room can become a concentration camp if it has no contact with the lively world around it,” recalls an attempt to deal with this subject somewhere in America. Instead of some place “out in the blue” a former motel building practically in the centre of the town was acquired to ensure that those living there had not that feeling of isolation. Yours etc, CONTACT. June 23, 1964.
