SUMMER FAIR ON TRIAL
Warwick Farm Handicap
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SYDNEY, June 19. The New Zealand-bred welght-for-age star Summer Fair will be on trial for the Doomben Cup when he runs In the Oatley Handicap at Warwick Farm tomorrow.
The five-year-old Summertime horse, which has been given equal top-weight for the Doomben Cup to be run next month, has 9st 71b in the six furlongs Oatley Handicap. A feature of tomorrow’s racing could be the clash between the top jockeys Moore and Mulley. They will clash in four races.
Much Interest will centre on their dash in the six furlong Juvenile Handicap In which the New Zealand two-year-old Gabadan, with Mulley up, is a quarter of a point longer on the market than Piping Peter, to be ridden by Moore. Both Gabadan and Piping Peter were winners at their last starts.
Two other New Zealand starters. in the Juvenile Handicap are Cranlelgh and Spice and Dice. Both Cranlelgh and Spice and Dice were winners in New Zealand.
Other New Zealand-bred starters at Warwick Farm will include -the Khorassan gelding. Khorawill, the three-year-old Blueskin II gelding Blue Tact In the 11 furlong Riverwood Novice, and Equality and Frame Up in the seven furlong Allawah Trial. The Warwick Farm track Is Still showing the effects of the recent heavy rain and is expected to be dead.
