Launch Towed By Frigate
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 19. A small cabin-cruiser was towed back to Auckland behind the fast anti-submarine frigate Otago when its engine broke down near the Moises Islands today. Mr R. H. Phillips, of Onehunga, had been fishing from his 20-foot cabin-cruiser when the engine failed. The Otago, returning from a cruise to Wellington, saw the boat’s plight and threw it a line. The tow was transferred to the naval tug, Aratoki, when the frigate entered the harbour.
