Lay Readers To Meet
Approximately 40 lay readers, some from South Canterbury, will attend an annual lay readers' conference and meeting in St. Stephen’s Church today. The conference, which will begin at 10.30 a.m., has been arranged by the Christchurch Diocesan Lay Readers’ Association. It will open with the celebration of Holy Communion, conducted by the Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt Rev. A. K. Warren). The Rev. Dr. M. Peaston will address the conference on the Apostles' Creed. In the afternoon the conference will conclude with evensong.
