TV SET BACK

Distress Signal Lowered

The television set taken from the guests’ lounge of the British Hotel, Lyttelton, on Monday afternoon, has been returned.

The wife. of the licensee, Mrs A. D. R. Duncan, said last evening that the set had been restored to its place on the mantelpiece—and bolted to it

All distress signals bad been lowered, she said. The set was found to be missing the day that Mr Duncan took over the management of the hotel from Mr G. Daigneault, who had been hoisting' signals from the flag mast at the hotel notifying the change of ownership. “We shall fly the signal: Tm all right Jack’,” Mrs Duncan said.
