10-Year Run Ends
The experienced Canterbury hockey player, J. C. Abrams, who has represented New Zealand for the last 10 years, yesterday confirmed that he was not available for selection in the national team for the Tokyo Olympics.
He said his decision had been brought about by business and family reasons; these had also caused his withdrawal from the Canterbury side that took part in the recent New Zealand Hockey
Challenge Shield tournament at Wellington. But, he- added, he would be available for Canterbury and New Zealand again in the future. Abrams, a 29-year-old right back, has been a regular choice for New Zealand since 1954. He has been overseas, with
