Passed In At £2400
A section of 22 perches at 71 Cashmere road has been sold by private treaty by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd. The section was passed in at £2400 when offered at public auction last week. Offered on account of the estate of .John Hamer, a house at 400 Selwyn street. Addington, was sold for £930 at public auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr L. G. Jones. The opening bid was £6OO. There were three bids of £5O, four of £25 and eight of £lO.
The house, on a section of 25i perches, has six rooms, kitchenette and bathroom.
A glazed-brick bungalow with an iron roof at 153 Avonhead road, Upper Riccarton, was passed in at £5500. The auctioneer was Mr Denys Chapman. The bungalow has -a lounge, kitchen-dinette, four bedrooms, hall, bathroom and a laundry. There is also a garage on the section .of one acre.
