Wing Commander G. R. B. Highet has been appointed commandant of the R.N.Z.A.F. Command and Staff School at Whenuapai. He will take up his new post next week. He replaces Wing Commander I. R. Mitchell, who is retiring.— (P.A.) Mr E. Somers, the former Christchurch - City Engineer, has been nominated tv represent the Municipal Association oh the No. 2 Town and Country Planning Appeal Board.
The Rev. R. J. Okey has been appointed vicar of Waimate. Mr Okey was ordained by the Bishop of Christchurch(the Rt Rev. A. K. Warren) in 1955, and then served curacies in Papanui, , and Hlghfield, Timaru. At present he is vicar of Te Ngawai, South Canterbury.
