Lamb Prices Steady (N.Z. Preu Attociation) WELLINGTON, June 12. Prices for New Zealand lamb were generally steady at Smithfteld market, London, this week, according to the Market Information Service of the New Zealand Meat Board. Some increase in early pitchings caused slight easin’ for light-weights, but the main grades were at unchanged prices. There was quiet trading in light supplies of New Zealand mutton. Wethers were nominally quoted at 19$d a lb for the main grade (49-56 lb) and ewes at 16)d a lb for the main grade (49-561 h There were increased pitchings of Argentine chilled beef which caused lower prices for chilled beef generally. A small quantity of New Zealand chilled beef sold steadily with hinds at 31d to 33d a lb and fores at 21)d to 24)d a lb. Price Range Quotations for N.Z. lamb d d per lb per lb
