Bank Loan For Clubs Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY. May 26 The three chibs which are to sponsor off-course totalisator betting in New South Wales have been given a bank loan of more than £1 million to set up the New South Wales ’ Totalisator Agency Board, it was reported today. The three clubs are the Australian Jockey Club, the Sydney Turf Club, and the New South Wales Trotting' Club. Under the act. operating ex- j penses and the cost of establishing branches of the TA.B. will be borne by the racing clubs. The TAB. in New South Wales is due to start operating in July. Each of the clubs has obtained a loan of £335,000 to help set up the new organisation, which, like the offcourse totalisator agencies in other Australian states, is based on the New Zealand system.
