Candidates should be well qualified in Engineering Science or Applied Mathematics (with engineering experience). Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in either machine and structural dynamics, statistical dynamics, non-linear mechanics or non-linear control systems. The salary for a Senior Lecturer is within the range £2745-x £lOO- - per annum: for a Lecturer is within the range £1895-x £lO5£2630 per annum. In each case cost of living adjustments will be allowed (at present £l6 p.a.). The salary is subject to deductions under the State Superannuation Act. The commencing Salary will be fixed according to the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant. The successful applicant will be largely concerned with the organisation of the technical side of both elementary and advanced laboratory classes in Zoology. He will also be expected to assist in the general routine work of the Department. Considerable experience in the handling of zoological materials and related microscopical and physiological equipment is desirable. A University degree or technical qualifications would be an advantage. The appointee will be asked to take up duty on July 1, 1964, or as near as possible after that date. The salary offered will be within the limits £A1686/2043 per annum. It is anticipated that these limits will be increased shortly to somewhere in the vicinity of FAIBII/2453 per annum.
