“SKI-WEEK” GIMMICK

Mt. Cook AirIn Cans (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, May 21. “Ski-in-New-Zealand-Week, ’ which is being promoted in a Sydney store, was given further- impetus tonight when ski instructors from all parts of Australia were guests at a city reception.

On hand as a promotion "gimmick” were 100 cans of mountain air guaranteed to have been captured at Mount Cook. Australian Customs officials considered impounding the shipment of air as an undesirable import, but relented.

As a result of the promotion it is hoped that the number of Australian skiers who went to New Zealand last season—about 1500—will be doubled this year.
