The Beatles

Sir,—l see that the Beatle show is sold out. Is there any chance of the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation putting the Beatles on television in an actual broadcast, or by taking a film of the show and showing it at a later date? 1 am sure there are a lot of people who missed seats, but would still like to see some of the show 1 feel this would be much appreciated by old and young alike.—Yours, etc., D.D.T. EXPERT. May 15, 1964. [The Director-General of Broadcasting (Mr G. H. Stringer) said: “No arrangements have been made between the N.Z.B.C. and the sponsors of the Beatles’ New Zealand visit for the televising of any of their shows.”]
