Mr. R. J. Polaschek, Commissioner. of Transport, has been elected president of the Institute of Public Administration.—(P.A.) Mr B. R. Rae, whose appointment as permanent head of the new Department of Civil Aviation was announced early last month, has formally relinquished the appointment of Air Secretary, which he has held since 1953 In his new appointment he will be known as the Secretary of Civil Aviation. Mr Rae now ceases to be a member of the Air Board.—(P.A.)
