ISLAND XVs ON JULY 28

To Be Chosen In Auckland ■ (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 22. Both the North and South Rugby teams for the interisland match at Eden Park on July 4 will be chosen in Auckland on Sunday, June 28, The New Zealand union has given permission for this unusual procedure as two of the . South Island panel, Messrs N. J. McPhail and L. George, will be in the North Island for the North-South Maoris match at Te Awamtitu on June 25. “As Messrs McPhail and George, will also want to have a look at the New Zealand Maoris v. Waikato game on June 27, it was considered easier to fly the third south selector, Mr D. Hamilton, to Auckland than to rush the other two back to the South Island,” said Mr R. Bush, North Island and New Zealand selector, today.
