VAUXHALL VIVA
Overseas Funds
Motoring enthusiasts will have read with interest the road, test of the new Vauxhall Viva reported on this page recently. This is the motorcar about which there has been so much speculation. This is the car which has been wanted for so long! The car built to meet the express desires of so many people. This is the feverishly talked about smaller—but not small —Vauxhall. This is the car which has been praised by experts the world over.
Unfortunately, there has been little or no improvement, in the supply of new cars in recent months. The North Canterbury distributors, The Farmers’ Garage, have been on a limited allocation, but the demand has far exceeded the supply. Regrettably, there appears little chance of their overtaking the position for a long time. For holders of eligible overseas funds, the position is much brighter. The Farmers’ Garage prepare applications for Import Licences on clients’ behalf which enable them to obtain early delivery of a new Vauxhall Viva. Sterling deposits required are low—only £258 for the Standard Viva or £273 for the Deluxe Viva, When delivery of the car is taken the ruling New Zealand price is paid, less the sterling deposit. AU interested persons are invited to call at The Farmers’ Garage (LJU.V.D.), Cashel street, Christchurch—phone 77-670—t0 see and try this new model, or to arrange a test drive from their own home.
