Amber Light Chosen
(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, May 20. An amber flashing light has been adopted by the National Roads Board as a standard warning for road works. At a meeting today board members inspected red and amber flashing lights working on a simulated display before reaching a decision. Mr R. J. Polaschek said it would be unwise, to adopt flashing red lights as a warning. “A red light means stop. If we start using red lights that do not mean stop It will cause confusion,” he said.
