CHAMPION BLOOM
Chrysanthemum Show '(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON, April 29. A.large lemon chrysanthemum, a Mark Woolman, entered by Mrs H. B. Constable, of Gisborne, was judged the champion of champions bloom at the national chrysanthemum show being held in Nelson. Mrs Constable is a prominent exhibitor in national shows and a leading grower. The. bloom was judged by Mr J. McKegg, of Palmerston North, who said- it was an excellent example'of its kind, both, in size and shape. The bloom also won the titles of premier yellow and best in the large exhibition. Mrs Constable also was the winner of the Hollows Cup, awarded for the best 12 large blooms, a New Zealand open championship entry. She also took the Perrett Cup for six varieties of incurved chrysanthemums. The amateur champion bloom was entered by Mr W. J. Pevreal, of Gisborne. Other national results were: Four single blooms: H. J. Angelini (Pahiatua). Wilson challenge trophy: Mrs Constable.
