Fighting Ship Wins Stakes

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEWMARKET (Suffolk), April 28. Fighting Ship (P. Robinson), owned by Lord Roseberry, won the Jockey Club Stakes, run over one mile and a half, at Newmarket today by four lengths from Mr J. P. Philipp’s Crepone (R. Hutchinson), with Mr H. E. Bousher’s Young Lochinvar (W. Williamson) third five lengths back. Six started.

Official starting prices were: 5/1 Fighting Ship, 9/4 favourite Crepone and 8/1 Young Lochinvar.
