Air Drops To Missionaries
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 19. A pilot who is a life-line to missionaries working in the jungles of New Guinea spoke about his work at the Missionary Aviation Fellowship field day at Ardmore aerodrome on Saturday. Mr H. Morton, an Australian, is one of a number of pilots who drop food and medical supplies to missionaries working in the heart of New Guinea. He lives with his family in central New Guinea and makes between 60 and 70 flights each week in his Cessna 185 single-engined aircraft. The’ pareels are dropped over airstrips.
