Remanded On Rape Charge
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 19. George Miller Tod, aged 36. driver, was remanded in custody to Monday when he appeared before Messrs G. E. Fox and M. M. McCarthy, Justices of the Peace, in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday charged with the rape of a woman in Christchurch on September 14 last. An application by Tod for bail was refused.
