EVERY BOY’S RALLY

Church Parade At Bryndwr About 128 boys from all parts of Christchurch took part in an Every Boy’s Rally annual church parade held in the Bryndwr Gospel Chapel last evening. Also at the parade were 20 boys from Ashburton and eight from Glentunnel. What space that was left ih the chapel was taken by parents and friends of the boys. Mr E. G. W. Hay spoke at the church parade on Jesus of Nazareth, His life as a boy, His obedience as a child to Joseph and Mary, and illustrated the need of persons today to obey God’s will. Mr Hay finished his talk by telling the boys of their need to know Jestis Christ as Saviour, Lord, and Friend. The rallies, run by Open Brethren assemblies throughout New Zealand, are open to boys between the ages of seven and 15 of any race or religion. Rallies are usually held weekly, and an evening consists of games, gymnastics, and physical training. A short talk based on a ■ story with a spiritual background completes the programme.
