NIUE HONEY ACCEPTED

N.Z. Marketing Authority (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 17. The Honey Marketing Authority is accepting honey from an apiarist through the Niue Island administration, the only South Pacific Island to have approached the authority. The manager of the authority (Mr C. T. Gosse) said that a 601 b sample tin had arrived from Niue by ship last October. A grader had found the honey to be of good quality.

Not long ago a shipment of eight 601 b tins had arrived in Auckland where all were passed> by the Department of Agriculture honey grader (Mr C. G. Rope). Mr Rope said the latest shipment was better in quality than the initial sample and that it was a delicate flavoured honey. It rated 90 colour points in 100. making it fairly white in colour.
