A PUNTER AND HIS TOY.—Mr Perce Galea, a successful Sydney racehorse owner and heavy punter, with a statue of a jockey at his Sydney home this week. The statue, cast in iron and painted in the Galea colours of black and yellow, is a gift from the president of the Santa Anita Turf Club, California. It is a traditional present by American turf clubs to owners who have had a big win with one of their horses. Mr Galea won more than £33,000 in bets when his two-year-old Eskimo Prince won the £l0,000 Golden Slipper Stakes in Sydney recently.
