Killing Record Expected

(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, April 10. Southland’s four freezing works are expected to set another killing record this season. With about two months’ killing still to go the total kill is expected to pass the five million mark. The kill so far totals 4,001,442. Already the farmer-owned Alliance works has passed the million mark and the Makarewa and Ocean Beach works are fast approaching this mark. The Alliance work’s kill, estimated tonight, is up 195,f"9 on the same period last year.
