RACING DONCASTER £15,000

Time And Tide Favourite

(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SYDNEY,

March 27.

The Sydney horse, Time and Tide, remains favourite to win the £15,000 Doncaster Handicap, to be run over one mile at Rand wick Racecourse on Saturday.

Time and Tide has been favourite since the first charts were issued shortly after weights were announced and has been backed for a fortune straight out and coupled in doubles with all the fancied horses for the Sydney Cup, to be run on Easter Monday. The Australian Jockey Club handicapper, Mr Ken Goodwin, said today he would give Time and Tide nine stone for Doncaster if he had the opportunity to weight the horse now. Time and Tide will carry 8-8, weight for age for a three-year-old, in the rich mile event.

The second favourite is Florida Keys. Ripa and Silver Bore are also well backed.
