D. R. Stephen May Be Banned By Rugby
Until the position of D. R. Stephen, the former Canterbury Rugby wing, is clarified the Christchurch Rugby Club will not play him.
Stephen, ,who played for Linwood and Canterbury last season, applied for reinstatement to League this year and his application was approved by the New Zealand League Council on March 14. He joined the Papanui League Club and then changed his mind and joined the Christchurch Rugby club. The New Zealand Rubgy Union, however, has laid down a policy that players cannot be reinstated to Rugby more than once.
