SENIOR TEAM NOMINATED
Addington Club’s Application
A nomination to enter a team in the senior competition was received at last evening s meeting of the Canterburv Rugby League from the Addington club.
The application was held over until entries were called Irotn all clubs.
The New Zealand Council advised in correspondence that an application for a clearance for R. L. Turton to play in Australia was refused.
Mr D. C. Wilson was re-elected chairman of the board of control and as Canterbury’s delegate to the New Zealand Council's annual meeting and conference at Auckland on April 17 and IS.
Stephen Still In League
An application was received from D. R. Stephen for a clearance from the code at last evening a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby League. It was decided to advise the Papanui club that the application for membership bv Stephen on January 13 had been acted upon and that he had subsequently been reinstated from Rugby Union to Rugbv Leastue on Varch 11 by the Jiew Zealand Council.
