Science Museum
Sir,—Mr M. A. Connelly, M.P., has emphasised the need for a museum of science and industry, as most progressive cities in the world have one. If we do not get one the North Island will get what people like the Mormons leave behind, and our historic articles would be lost to the South Island forever. Had no action been taken by Mr Connelly on the request of interested people, the Railways Department would have had the old engines removed to the North Island.—Yours, etc., INTERESTED. March 20, 1964.
